Dampier Peninsula Cultural Day Tour

From AUD $399.00
  • Duration: 11 Hours
  • Location: Broome, WA
  • Product code: OHDPCT1

To commence your Dampier Peninsula day tour, we will
collect you from your Broome accommodation between 645-7am (dependant on number
of hotels). Heading out of Broome we drive ~2 hours to meet local Bardi-Jawi
man, Bolo Angus. Bolo escorts us out to his ancestral homeland at Lullumb,
where the Bush meets the Sea, and the group immerses themselves in this
fascinating cultural journey. Bolo’s relaxed journey takes you through the
pristine and spectacular coastal country with a hands-on experience of
traditional survival skills and hunting methods. At the end of the journey,
Bolo cooks up all the bush tucker that has been collected and caught during the
walk, while also enjoying cultural stories and songs around the campfire.

Following lunch, we call into Beagle Bay to see the
beautiful pearl shell altar at the Sacred Heart Church built by the German
Pallotine monks in 1917-18. Our last leg of the journey takes us back into
Broome and onto Cable Beach for your included sunset drinks and appetisers.
Concluding around 545pm, our guide will drop you off to your accommodation
between 6-615pm (depending on number of hotels). ** Please note: Itinerary
timeline may vary slightly, dependant on tide times.
